Die Videospiele “Portal” und “Portal 2″ haben in kürzester Zeit unzählige Snippets , Parodien und anderes Tralala im Netz generiert .
Dennoch hat ein sonst meist übersehenes Feature des von der Fachpresse weitgehend akklamierten Spiels sich quasi selbständig gemacht : Der von Jonathan Coulton komponierte Song während des Abspanns von Teil eins verwandelte sich mir nichts , dir nichts zu einem viralen Phänomen : Neben der “Urfassung” mit der ( Opern ) Sängerin Ellen McLain gibt es auf YouTube nicht nur eine “unplugged” Version von Coulton , sondern geistert auch Interpretation eines Kinderchors durchs WWW und sind unzähliger Laien ( meist am Piano ) zu hören .
Wenn wir in|ad|ae|qu|at das besagte “Still Alive” mit Abspann und Song hier vorführen , haben wir uns in die vorzeitliche Bildschirmästhetik* ebenso in die Stimme Ellen McLains förmlich verknallt und aus den Lyrics einige schöne Metamomente gezogen . Da können ausserhalb des Spiel- Narrativs Stehende gewisse Verse und Codeworte wie den oft zitierten “cake” nicht weiter betrüben -

Aber nun geht’s los mit Video und konsekutiven “Untertiteln” .
